Mooyius sells well-styled occasion dresses, knitwear and two-piece sets at $119.95 to $189.95 full price, discounted hard and often. Customers split sharply on what arrives. Order only a sale item you would be content to keep, because the published returns route sends parcels back to China at your cost.
How we built this estimate
How we made this estimate
We did not buy or wear any Mooyius garment, so nothing below is written as first-hand experience. Instead we compiled five independent sources covering 1,019 customer ratings and filed reports dated between November 2024 and September 2026, then checked each of the brand's claims against its own returns policy, shipping page, about page and live product data. We also applied the current offers at the Mooyius checkout ourselves to confirm what they are actually worth. Everything was read on 6 October 2026.
That mix matters for a brand like this one. Product photography tells you nothing about whether a parcel arrives, and a single angry post tells you nothing about the average. Counting the spread across every public source is the only honest way to estimate a store we have not ordered from.
What Mooyius actually sells
Mooyius is a direct-to-consumer womenswear store running on Shopify, selling its own branded range rather than other labels. Its about page dates the brand to 2001 and lists its address as Room 2601, Building A, Haibo Plaza, in the Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, with support on a Chinese phone line and at [email protected].
The catalogue is narrower and more coherent than most stores in this bracket. Everything points at tailored, occasion-leaning clothing: midi and maxi dresses, gowns, blouses and structured shirts, knitwear, blazers and coats, jumpsuits, and matched two-piece sets of a blouse with wide-leg trousers. The autumn and winter 2026 range alone holds 144 items.
Sizing runs XS (US 2) through 2XL (US 18) on most lines, which is broader than the XS-to-L many similar stores stop at. Garments are listed under a rotating set of supplier vendor codes rather than one house vendor name, which is normal for this model and worth knowing if you expect consistency between two orders.
What the ratings actually say
There is no single number to quote here, because the largest platform has withheld one. Trustpilot holds 915 reviews of mooyius.com but displays no TrustScore, stating that the company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and that it has removed a number of reviews it judged to be fake. The underlying distribution is still visible, and it is unusually polarised: 57% one-star against 33% five-star, with almost nothing in the middle.
Other sources land higher but show the same split shape.
| Source | What it shows | Read |
|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot (915 reviews) | Score withheld by the platform; 57% one-star, 33% five-star | 6 Oct 2026 |
| RatingFacts (90 reviews) | 3.24 / 5; 41.1% five-star, 33.3% one-star | 6 Oct 2026 |
| ScamPulse (12 reports) | Reports dated Nov 2024 to Sep 2026, around $2,418 in total claimed | 6 Oct 2026 |
| Sitejabber (2 reviews) | Both describe return emails going unanswered | 6 Oct 2026 |
| MyProsAndCons (aggregator listing) | Lists Mooyius at 4.0 / 5 | 6 Oct 2026 |
Read together, the pattern is consistent rather than contradictory. A real share of customers receive something they like and say so in detail. A larger share, on the biggest platform, describe a problem that starts after delivery.
Where the happy and unhappy orders diverge
The praise is specific and repeats. Customers describe elegant styling, easy site navigation and garments that felt well made for the money, and several credit support with sorting an exchange quickly. One customer writing in September 2026 said the dress was beautiful and that Mooyius worked with her to find a more structured style; another in August described a response that was prompt and an exchange handled without friction.
The complaints are equally specific, and they cluster on three things.
Fabric against expectation. Across Trustpilot, RatingFacts and Sitejabber, customers repeatedly describe material thinner than the listing suggested, seams that frayed early, and finished garments that looked visibly different from the photography. This is the single most repeated theme in the negative reviews.
Sizing that does not follow the chart. Multiple customers report ordering to the brand's own measurements and receiving something markedly smaller, in some accounts by close to two US sizes. The practical advice buyers give each other is to size up.
The return itself. This is where the one-star reviews concentrate. Customers describe being offered a partial refund instead of a full one when they raised a fit or quality problem, waiting on a return address that did not arrive, and sending repeated emails without reply. ScamPulse holds twelve filed reports following the same arc, including one dated 15 September 2026 from a customer who said no return address was provided after a refund was requested.
Nothing in the published policy explains away that cluster, but the policy does explain part of the mechanics, which is worth understanding before you order.
What happens if you need to send it back
The returns and exchanges policy is clear, and it is stricter than most US-based retailers.
- You have 14 days from the date the carrier marks the parcel delivered. Many high-street retailers give 28 or 30.
- The customer pays all return shipping costs, including international logistics taxes and customs clearance fees. Since the business address is in Xi'an, that is an international parcel.
- You cannot post it back on your own initiative. Support issues the return address and instructions, so the clock runs while you wait for a reply.
- Items must be unused, tagged, in original packaging and unmarked.
- Customised products, intimate apparel, accessories and special clearance items generally cannot be returned or exchanged at all.
- Orders can be cancelled free within 24 hours, provided they have not shipped.
- Once the warehouse verifies a return, refunds are issued within three business days. Card refunds can take up to seven more business days; PayPal refunds are stated at 48 hours.
Do the return maths before you add to basket, not after. International postage with duties on a single dress can approach the value of a sale-priced item, which is exactly why a partial-refund offer tempts people into accepting one. Treat anything from the Flash Sale or the clearance range as final sale, and order the size you are most likely to keep.
What you will really pay
Full price is higher than the discount banners imply. Reading the live dress data on 6 October 2026, listed prices ran from $119.95 to $189.95, clustering around $120 to $170. That is mid-market pricing, not a value range.
Almost nobody pays it. Three things sit between the list price and the checkout total, and they do not combine.
Collection markdowns. The Flash Sale held 66 marked-down items, the deepest being a glossy croc-embossed shirt at $19.95 from $63.96. The Under $50 edit had twelve items in stock, including a belted halter-neck midi dress at $49.95 from $115.95. These are the genuine bargains in the store, and also the ones you cannot return.
Automatic spend tiers. Mooyius runs a ladder that applies itself at checkout with no code: $20 off at $189, $45 off at $299, $70 off at $429 and $110 off at $599. We confirmed each one by building carts at those values. The catch is arithmetic: $70 off a $429 basket is 16%, and the sitewide codes circulating in October 2026 were deeper than that when we applied them at the checkout, reaching 40% off. The tiers and the codes do not stack, and Shopify keeps whichever is larger, so the automatic discount is often the worse of the two.
Shipping. The shipping ladder charges $9.95 under $39, $11.95 from $39 to $59.99 and $13.95 from $60 to $198.99, going free at $199. On a $60 blouse that postage is a real 23% on top.
The cheapest route is usually one discounted item plus the best current sitewide code, accepting the $13.95 postage, rather than padding a basket to $199 for free shipping you did not need. Building to $199 to save $13.95 costs you the difference.
How long delivery takes
Processing is stated at one to five business days before anything moves, which is the part most delivery complaints seem to miss. After that the brand quotes 7 to 10 days to the USA, 6 to 8 days to the UK and Australia, 7 to 10 days to Germany and France, and 8 to 12 days to Canada and Mexico. Realistically that is a two to three week door-to-door window on a US order, not the week the headline figure suggests.
Carriage is handed to a long list of carriers depending on destination, including USPS, DHL, Royal Mail, Canada Post, Australia Post, YunExpress, UniUni, Colissimo and Correos de México. Shoppers in Spain and elsewhere in southern Europe should note that the published table does not quote a Spain window, though the brand says it ships to most countries and regions, so confirm the estimate at checkout before ordering for a dated event.
The five things worth knowing
- Occasion-led womenswear, $119.95 to $189.95 full price, in sizes XS (US 2) to 2XL (US 18).
- Customers overwhelmingly advise sizing up; the chart runs small in many accounts.
- Returns are 14 days, at your cost, back to China, with clearance and accessories excluded.
- The automatic spend tiers are usually beaten by the current sitewide code, and the two never stack.
- Allow two to three weeks for a US order once processing time is counted.
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
A reasonable fit if you want a distinctive occasion dress or a matched two-piece set at a sale price, know your measurements well enough to size up with confidence, are shopping more than a month before you need the garment, and would be content keeping what arrives if it is not quite right. The styling is the real draw, and plenty of customers are happy.
Look elsewhere if you are buying for a fixed date inside three weeks, are between sizes or unsure of fit, need a dependable returns route, or are spending enough that an unrecoverable outcome would sting. Those conditions are where the filed complaints concentrate.
Better picks for some of these jobs
If the returns terms are the sticking point rather than the clothes, the alternatives split by what you actually need.
For a dated occasion with fit risk, a domestic retailer with free returns and in-store try-on costs more per garment and removes the whole problem. Prefer this when the event date is fixed.
For the same aesthetic at a lower price, the large Asian fashion marketplaces carry comparable styling with similar sizing variance, but settle disputes through a platform rather than a single merchant's inbox. Prefer this when you want the look cheaply and want a buyer-protection backstop.
For tailored occasionwear you intend to keep for years, a mid-market brand with published fabric composition and a real size-exchange programme is the better use of a $150 budget. Prefer this when longevity matters more than novelty.
Strengths
- Coherent, genuinely distinctive occasion range; 144 items in the autumn and winter 2026 collection alone
- Extended sizing to 2XL (US 18), broader than many comparable stores
- Deep, real markdowns: 66 items in the Flash Sale, the deepest at 68% off
- Offers verify at the checkout; the automatic spend tiers applied exactly as advertised when we tested them
- Policies on returns, refunds and shipping are published in full, with carriers and timings named
- Several customers describe fast, helpful exchange handling by support
Weaknesses
- Trustpilot has withheld the rating across 915 reviews after removing reviews it judged fake, so no aggregate score is available from the largest source
- Fabric weight and finish fall short of the listing photos in many customer accounts
- Sizing is widely reported to run small against the brand's own chart
- Returns are 14 days, international, and paid by the buyer, with clearance and accessories excluded outright
- Customers repeatedly report partial-refund offers and slow or unanswered return correspondence; twelve such reports are filed on ScamPulse
- Support operates US Pacific business hours only, Monday to Friday
Is Mooyius a real company?
Yes. Mooyius is a trading womenswear store on Shopify with a published business address in Xi'an, China, a support email and a listed phone line, and it fulfils orders through named carriers including USPS, DHL and Royal Mail. The disputes in its public reviews are about garment quality and the returns process, not about whether orders are dispatched.
Does Mooyius run true to size?
Customers across several platforms say it does not, and the common advice among them is to order one size up. Several accounts describe garments arriving close to two US sizes smaller than the brand's chart indicated. Measure yourself and compare against the product page rather than ordering your usual size.
How long does Mooyius take to deliver?
The brand quotes one to five business days to process an order, then 7 to 10 days to the USA, 6 to 8 days to the UK and Australia, and 8 to 12 days to Canada. Counting both stages, plan on two to three weeks for a US order.
Can you return Mooyius items for a refund?
The published policy allows returns within 14 days of delivery, but you must request a return address from support first and you pay the return postage, international logistics taxes and customs fees yourself. Customised items, intimate apparel, accessories and special clearance items are generally excluded. A number of customers report difficulty completing this process.
Where does Mooyius ship from?
Orders and returns are handled from the company's base in Xi'an, China. That is the reason return postage is expensive for US and European customers, and the reason to treat low-priced sale items as final sale.
Do Mooyius discount codes work with the automatic discounts?
No. The automatic spend-tier discounts and the sitewide codes do not stack; the checkout applies whichever is worth more. On most basket sizes the sitewide code is the deeper of the two, so it is worth comparing both totals before paying.
Bottom line
Mooyius earns 5.8 out of 10 on compiled evidence, and the confidence in that figure is moderate: the catalogue, prices and policies are verifiable facts, while the experience of receiving an order is drawn from a review base one major platform does not trust enough to score.
The styling is the reason people order, and a real share of customers are pleased. The reason to be careful is everything that happens after the parcel lands. Buy a marked-down piece at a price you would accept as final, size up, and keep well clear of a basket value you would mind losing.
