Flashark is a 2020-founded direct manufacturer selling stainless exhaust headers, intakes, coilovers and diesel hardware across fourteen vehicle makes, at roughly a third of what Skunk2's Alpha headers cost. Owners rate it 4.3 on Trustpilot. Best for hands-on builders who can test-fit before final torque.
How we made this estimate
We compiled seven sources between 10 and 17 October 2026 and did not install these parts ourselves. They break down as two consumer-score aggregators (Trustpilot, Knoji), a third scored summary (MyProsAndCons), one named publication that priced individual part numbers, an owner thread on the 3SI forum, Flashark's own about, shipping, clearance, rewards and dealer-application pages, and published prices from two competing header brands to anchor the value question.
Where owners describe installing something, we say who said it. Nothing in this piece is a first-hand install report.
What is Flashark?
Flashark is an automotive performance parts brand that sells direct to the driver from its own Shopify storefront. Its about page dates the company to 2020 and describes it as a direct manufacturer rather than a reseller, which matters because the margin a distributor would take is the margin funding the prices below.
The catalogue is wider than the exhaust work it is known for. Exhaust covers headers, cat-back and axle-back systems, downpipes, up-pipes, manifolds, catalytic converters and mufflers. Intake covers cold air intake kits, intercooler piping, engine air filters and cylinder heads. Suspension runs to coilovers, upper control arms and front strut assemblies. There is a diesel tuning section with EGR delete, DPF and CAT delete pipes, CCV reroute kits and tuners, plus cooling parts, oil catch cans, LED lighting, wheel spacers and brake rotor and pad kits.
Fourteen makes have their own collections: Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, Dodge, Jeep, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota, Honda, Subaru and Mazda. The depth sits behind Chevrolet, Ford and Honda headers, which is where most of the owner feedback we read is concentrated.
Support is handled by a team the company describes as more than ten people, reachable at [email protected]. Published cover is a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 12-month warranty. Review aggregates note that manufacturing is largely in China with stocking warehouses in the United States, which is consistent with the merchant's own line that most products ship from a US warehouse while some ship direct from the manufacturer.
What do Flashark parts actually cost?
Prices below are real part numbers, not a range the brand advertises. HonestBrandReviews priced these applications in its 18 December 2025 write-up; the Subaru figure came off Flashark's own clearance collection when the store was traced on 10 October 2026.
| Part | Price | Regular |
|---|---|---|
| Honda Civic 2001–2005 headers | $89 to $109 | — |
| Chevy Silverado / Tahoe 2007–2014 long tube | $196.39 | — |
| Ford F150 / Bronco 5.8L 1987–1995 headers | $196.99 | $280 |
| Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L 2009–2018 headers | $198.99 | $289 |
| Subaru WRX / STI 2015–2021 cat-back | $219.99 | $399.00 |
| Chevy / GMC Silverado 1999–2006 long tube | $269 to $379 | — |
The value case only lands once you put a premium brand next to it. Skunk2's Alpha header for the 2006 to 2011 Civic Si lists at $497.69 and the S2000 version at $572.35. Megan Racing, the closest competitor on price, sells a Civic Si 2006 to 2009 stainless header for about $148.75 but asks $479.99 for the BMW M3 E46. Flashark's common applications land in the $130 to $170 band, with the full header range running from roughly $59.99 to $335.99.
| Header, comparable application | Brand | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Civic Si, common application | Flashark | $130 to $170 |
| Civic Si 2006–2009 stainless | Megan Racing | $148.75 |
| Civic Si 2006–2011 Alpha | Skunk2 | $497.69 |
| BMW M3 E46 stainless | Megan Racing | $479.99 |
| S2000 Alpha | Skunk2 | $572.35 |
On top of list price, Flashark discounts hard and often. Its clearance collection was cut up to 70% when we checked it, with the header section specifically marked up to 68% off and cat-back systems at 45%. A separate rotating flash-sale collection ran up to 50% off, showing headers dropped from $299.99 to $209.99. During its October sale window the store also stacked spend-threshold codes on top of sale pricing: an extra 6% over $200, 8% over $300 and 10% over $500. That window has since closed, but the pattern is worth knowing before you pay list for anything here.
Will it fit your vehicle?
This is the question the sources genuinely split on, so it gets a straight answer: usually yes, and sometimes only after you work for it.
The positive accounts are specific. Owners describe headers that bolted straight in, mounted up to the stock exhaust without adjustment and arrived earlier than expected. One enthusiast quoted by HonestBrandReviews said he had fitted headers to race cars his whole life and had never seen a finer set. Buyers consistently single out the weld quality and flange thickness, which is the part of a budget header that usually gives first.
The harder accounts are equally specific. Some owners had to cut or dent a component to clear an oil pan or a steering shaft. Others found included bolts or studs were the wrong size for their setup, or that supplied gaskets leaked or burned through and were better replaced with higher-grade parts. One buyer reported an axle-back dual exhaust that did not fit a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. A recurring note on Trustpilot is packaging: parts loose in the box arriving with gasket damage.
The practical read is that Flashark sells a part engineered to a price, and the last 5% of fitment tolerance is where that price shows. If you or your shop can dry-fit before final torque, that is a solvable afternoon. If you are paying a shop by the hour and need a part that drops in unexamined, build that risk into your budget.
How fast does Flashark ship?
Free shipping on all orders is the single most repeated promise on the site, printed in the trust bar on every page we fetched. The shipping policy puts processing at one to two business days and United States delivery at five to ten business days, with ground running seven to ten and freight anywhere from one to ten depending on how close you sit to the warehouse. HonestBrandReviews recorded a tighter three to five business days; shipping speed is the most common piece of unprompted praise in the owner feedback we read, so the real-world figure is probably nearer the merchant's lower bound than its upper one.
Two exclusions are worth noting. Remote destinations are carved out of free shipping: the shipping policy adds weight-based fees for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Guam. Oversized freight looks like the other exception, because the rewards catalogue sells a dedicated free-shipping coupon for overweight items, which implies full exhaust kits and long-tube headers are not always covered by the blanket promise. Canadian buyers should also confirm duties and taxes at checkout, as the published policy does not address them.
What if you need to return it?
Published cover is a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 12-month warranty, with the brand also advertising lifetime customer support. The refund policy page carries those headline guarantees but does not publish the details a buyer actually wants: restocking fees, who pays return freight, or condition requirements. For a heavy exhaust part shipped back across a country, return freight is the number that matters, so ask before you order rather than after.
The behaviour behind the policy reads better than the paperwork. Flashark replies to 92% of its negative Trustpilot reviews, typically within 24 hours, which is unusually high for a direct-to-consumer parts seller. Several buyers describe support that fixed a problem rather than deflecting it, and more than one says a return was accepted even though it fell outside the 30-day window. That is discretion rather than entitlement, but a pattern of it is a real signal.
Where the sources disagree
The scored aggregates cluster, and the individual accounts do not.
| Source | Verdict | Checked |
|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot | 4.3 of 5 across 449 ratings | Oct 2026 |
| Knoji | 4.0 of 5 across 62 reviews | Oct 2026 |
| MyProsAndCons | 4.0 of 5 | Oct 2026 |
| HonestBrandReviews | Solid value, legitimate operation | Dec 2025 |
| 3SI owner thread | Mixed on fitment, positive on welds | Oct 2026 |
Trustpilot's distribution is the detail an average hides. Sixty-seven percent of the 449 ratings are five-star and 19% are one-star, with only 5% sitting in the middle three bands. Regional storefronts tell the same story at different volumes: 4.1 across 425 ratings on the New Zealand site, 3.6 across 245 on the Australian one.
A split like that usually means outcomes vary by application rather than by brand. The five-star accounts are people whose part fitted and whose package arrived quickly. The one-star accounts concentrate on the fitment and hardware problems described above. Reading the distribution instead of the average is the honest way to use this store: the median experience is good, and the tail is real.
What works well, what to check first
What works well
- Prices that undercut premium header brands by roughly two thirds for comparable applications
- Weld quality and flange thickness are the most praised details across owner feedback
- Free shipping on all standard orders, with no minimum spend
- Fast dispatch: owners repeatedly report parts arriving ahead of the published estimate
- Support answers 92% of negative Trustpilot reviews, usually inside a day
- Deep, recurring sale cycles across clearance, flash sale and seasonal events
- A rewards programme and a published dealer ladder for repeat or trade buyers
What to know before you buy
- Dry-fit before final torque. Multiple owners report needing minor clearance work
- Budget for fresh gaskets and hardware. Several buyers replaced the supplied items
- Confirm the application for your exact year and engine, not just the model
- Ask about return freight before ordering. The policy page does not publish who pays it
- Oversized exhaust kits may fall outside the blanket free-shipping promise
- Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Guam carry weight-based shipping fees
- Emissions parts such as EGR, DPF and CAT delete kits are sold for off-road and competition use. Check what is road-legal where you live before buying one
Who Flashark suits best
A good fit if you are:
- Building a truck or daily driver on a set budget and willing to do your own install
- Shopping Chevrolet, Ford or Honda applications, where the catalogue and the feedback are deepest
- Replacing a cracked factory manifold and unwilling to pay OEM dealer pricing
- Buying more than one part, where free shipping and the rewards ladder compound
- A shop or reseller who can use the published dealer tiers, which start at 20% off
Worth comparing alternatives if you are:
- Paying a shop by the hour and need a part that fits without adjustment
- Running a car that needs certified emissions-legal parts for inspection
- Chasing a specific dyno-proven figure, where a brand that publishes test data fits better
- Buying an unusual application with little published owner feedback to read
Alternatives worth comparing
Megan Racing is the closest match on price and the most direct comparison. Its Civic Si header lands within a few dollars of Flashark's, so the choice there comes down to the specific application and which one has stock. Megan's pricing climbs steeply on European applications, where the BMW M3 E46 header runs $479.99 against Flashark's much lower European listings.
Skunk2 is the move when fitment certainty is worth paying for. The Alpha line costs roughly three to four times a comparable Flashark header, and buys an established reputation for bolt-in tolerances and documented engineering on Honda platforms. If the car is a long-term build or the labour is billed, that premium is defensible.
Factory or OEM-equivalent replacement suits anyone whose car has to pass an emissions inspection. A performance header is a modification; a replacement manifold is not. If the goal is simply to fix a cracked factory part on an inspected vehicle, start there rather than with a performance part.
Discounts and the rewards programme
Flashark discounts through four channels at once, which is why paying list price here is rarely necessary. There is sitewide code promotion, category promotions on intakes, LED lighting and suspension, event sales that stack spend-threshold codes on top of already reduced prices, and a points programme.
The rewards maths is published on the merchant's own rewards page and earns 1 point per dollar spent at base tier. Redemption runs $4 off at 100 points, $10 at 250, $20 at 500, $30 at 750 and $50 at 1,250. Non-purchase earns include 40 points for signing up, 40 for the newsletter, 50 on your birthday and 30 for a review with photos. VIP tiers unlock at $200, $500, $1,000 and $2,000 of cumulative spend, with the $1,000 Gold tier doubling the earn rate and adding a $20 coupon, four $5 coupons and two free-shipping coupons. Referrals pay 20% off to you and a $15 coupon to the friend once they buy.
Two programmes sit outside the points system. Active-duty military and veterans get 15% off, verified through ID.me and WeSalute, valid in the United States and Canada and not combinable with other codes. Trade buyers get a published dealer ladder running from 20% off under $2,000 of annual volume to 30% above $10,000, with annual rebates of 1% to 3% above $8,000.
Before you check out, compare the live sitewide code against the current clearance collection price for the same part. Sale pricing and codes do not always combine, and on this store the deeper cut is often already on the product page.
Is Flashark a legitimate company?
Yes. Flashark has traded since 2020 from its own storefront, holds 449 Trustpilot ratings at 4.3 of 5, publishes a reachable support address and a dealer application, and was confirmed as an established operation with genuine customer support by HonestBrandReviews in December 2025. Its military discount is also verified through ID.me and WeSalute.
Where does Flashark ship from and how long does it take?
Most orders ship from a United States warehouse, with some items sent direct from the manufacturer. Processing takes one to two business days and United States delivery is published at five to ten business days. Owners frequently report faster arrival than that, and one published review recorded three to five business days.
Does Flashark offer free shipping?
Free shipping applies to all standard orders with no minimum spend. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Guam carry additional weight-based fees, and oversized or overweight freight appears to sit outside the blanket promise, since the rewards catalogue sells a separate free-shipping coupon for overweight items.
What is Flashark's return policy and warranty?
Flashark publishes a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 12-month warranty, plus what it calls lifetime customer support. The policy page does not publish restocking fees or who pays return freight, so confirm both with support before ordering a heavy part. Several buyers report returns being accepted outside the 30-day window as a goodwill decision.
Do Flashark headers fit without modification?
Most owners report a straight bolt-in, and weld quality and flange thickness are the most praised details in their feedback. A meaningful minority needed minor clearance work around an oil pan or steering shaft, or replaced supplied bolts and gaskets. Dry-fit the part before final torque and keep spare gaskets on hand.
Are Flashark delete kits road legal?
EGR, DPF and CAT delete kits are sold for off-road and competition use, which is the standard position for this category of part. Emissions rules differ by state and by Canadian province, so confirm what is permitted where your vehicle is registered and inspected before buying one.
Bottom line
Flashark earns an 8.1 compiled from seven sources, and we hold that with moderate confidence: the scored aggregates agree on roughly 4 of 5, but they rest on a Trustpilot distribution that is polarised rather than average, and no one on our side has installed the parts.
What the evidence supports clearly is the value case. A stainless, TIG-welded header at a third of a premium brand's price, shipped free and backed by support that answers almost every complaint within a day, is a genuinely good buy for a hands-on builder. What it also supports is the one preparation that changes the outcome: dry-fit the part, and have fresh gaskets ready.
If that sounds like your garage, start with the clearance and sale collections rather than the full-price catalogue.
