Vista Social suits agencies and small teams running 15 or more profiles who want publishing, one shared inbox, analytics and client reporting in a single tool. Paid plans start at $99 a month, yearly billing takes 20% off, and the 14-day trial asks for no card. Start there before you commit a year.
How we made this estimate
We have not run Vista Social on our own client accounts, so nothing below is a first-hand account. This estimate is compiled from five named sources checked in October 2026: aggregate ratings on G2, Capterra and Trustpilot, two hands-on independent reviews, and the vendor's own pricing page and nonprofits page, which we read directly for every price and policy figure on this page.
What Vista Social actually does
Vista Social is a social media management platform aimed at agencies, marketing teams and small businesses. It handles scheduling and publishing, a shared inbox, analytics and reporting, social listening and review management from one dashboard.
The connected network list is the part worth noting. Vista Social publishes to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Google Business, Snapchat, Tumblr, Threads and Bluesky, which is a wider spread than most tools in this price band.
The shared inbox pulls comments, direct messages and mentions into one feed, and on the review side it covers Google Business and Facebook on every plan. Independent coverage reports that review monitoring widens to Yelp, TripAdvisor, OpenTable and Trustpilot from the Advanced plan up. Agencies get the pieces they usually pay extra for elsewhere: approval workflows, multi-workspace management and white-label reports that carry the agency's branding rather than the vendor's.
What the ratings say
On the big software marketplaces the picture is unusually consistent. G2 shows an average of 4.8 out of 5 across more than a thousand reviews and gives Vista Social its “easiest to use” badge for the category, while Capterra sits at 4.9 across roughly 940 reviews.
Editorial coverage lands in the same place. Zapier names it the best Hootsuite alternative for small teams, pointing at team features “at a significantly more affordable price”. Blogging Wizard, which tested the product, calls the social inbox “one of the best we've tested” and recommends starting on the trial.
| Source | Score or verdict | Sample | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | 4.8 / 5 | 1,000+ reviews | Oct 2026 |
| Capterra | 4.9 / 5 | ~940 reviews | Oct 2026 |
| Trustpilot | Rating withdrawn by Trustpilot | 78 reviews | Oct 2026 |
| Zapier (editorial) | Best Hootsuite alternative for small teams | Editorial pick | Oct 2026 |
| Blogging Wizard (hands-on) | Recommended; inbox rated among the best tested | Single hands-on test | Oct 2026 |
Where the sources disagree
Trustpilot is the outlier, and as of October 2026 it no longer shows a score at all: the page carries a notice that the company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of Trustpilot's guidelines, and that Trustpilot has removed a number of fake reviews for the company. The 78 reviews still on the page skew to the extremes, 79% five-star and 17% one-star with very little in between. Treat the withdrawal as the signal here, not the vanished average.
Support is the clearest split. Most reviewers describe replies arriving within minutes, some naming individual staff; Trustpilot's own support sub-score is no longer published since the rating was withdrawn. A minority report waiting days for an email reply, and Blogging Wizard notes there is no live chat, so email is the main route.
The mobile app is the one point where positive and negative sources agree on a limit. Users on Software Advice and GetApp name mobile functionality and report customisation as the features they would most like extended.
What you actually pay
Vista Social prices by profile and user count, not per seat. The figures below come straight from the pricing page in October 2026, which lists no permanently free tier — only the 14-day trial.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Profiles | Users | AI credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Professional | $99/mo | $950/yr | 15 | 2 | 1,000/mo |
| Advanced | $199/mo | $1,910/yr | 30 | 3 | 2,000/mo |
| Scale | $449/mo | $4,310/yr | 70 | 4 | 3,500/mo |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Unlimited | 8+ | Unlimited |
Yearly billing takes 20% off every paid tier, paid up front. On the current prices that is $238 a year saved on Professional, $478 on Advanced and $1,078 on Scale. Unlimited post scheduling applies on all four plans, so the ceiling you hit is profiles and users, not posts.
Three things sit outside the plan price. X (Twitter) publishing, boosting and analytics is a $29 a month add-on. Social listening is free for your own connected profiles and $75 a month to listen across social, web and news. Employee advocacy is free for three advocates and $199 a month for 25 employees.
Registered nonprofits are a genuine exception. The nonprofits page offers up to 50% off Professional and Advanced once 501(c)(3) documentation or a local equivalent is approved, applied to future payments. It does not extend to Scale or Enterprise.
How it compares on price
The comparison that matters is how each tool charges. Hootsuite's published plans are per user: $99 a month per user for Standard with 10 social accounts, $199 for Professional and $399 for Advanced on annual billing. A three-person team on Standard is therefore around $297 a month, against $199 for Vista Social's Advanced plan with 30 profiles and three users.
Buffer charges per channel instead, from $5 a month on Essentials with a free tier capped at three channels and 10 scheduled posts each. For one person on a handful of channels Buffer is far cheaper; the per-channel model is what gets expensive once a team manages 15 or 30 profiles.
That is the pattern across the sources: Vista Social is priced for the middle, where profile counts are high and seat counts are low.
What works well and what to check
What works well
- Network breadth, including Bluesky, Threads, Reddit and Snapchat, which several competitors at this price do not publish to.
- Marketplace ratings are high and consistent: 4.8 on G2 across 1,000+ reviews, 4.9 on Capterra.
- The shared inbox is the most praised feature in hands-on coverage, pulling comments, DMs and platform reviews into one feed.
- Agency features are included rather than bolted on: approvals, multi-workspace and white-label reporting.
- Most users describe support replies arriving in minutes, often naming individual staff.
- Unlimited scheduling on every tier, so posting volume is never the limit.
What to know before you buy
- X (Twitter) is a $29 a month add-on — add it to your plan price if X is part of the brief.
- Listening beyond your own profiles and employee advocacy are paid add-ons at $75 and $199 a month.
- Users name the mobile app as the thinnest part of the product, so plan to work from desktop.
- Several users would like more report customisation than the current builder allows.
- Support is email-first with no live chat, and a minority of users report slower replies.
- Yearly billing is paid up front, so use the 14-day trial to settle on a tier before committing.
- Count your profiles before choosing: the step from 15 to 30 is the step from $99 to $199 a month.
Who it fits best
Vista Social fits an agency or in-house team managing many profiles with a handful of people logging in. At 15 profiles and two users on Professional, or 30 and three on Advanced, the per-profile maths works out well against per-seat tools.
It also fits teams who want listening, review management and client reporting in the same place rather than stitched together, and multi-location businesses that need Google Business and Facebook review replies in the shared inbox.
A solo creator posting to three or four channels will find the entry price high for the use case, and a per-channel tool is likely the better match. Teams that live on their phones should test the mobile app during the trial before deciding.
When another tool fits better
- Buffer — for one person on a few channels. Per-channel pricing from $5 a month, plus a free tier for three channels, is hard to beat at that size.
- Hootsuite — where an enterprise procurement process, existing contracts or a specific integration requirement already points that way; its plans are per user with unlimited accounts from Professional up.
- Enterprise suites — for organisations needing single sign-on and formal onboarding as standard. Vista Social does offer these, but via the quote-based Enterprise plan with SSO and data migration as paid add-ons.
- Paid plans run $99 to $449 a month, or $950 to $4,310 a year, with 20% off for paying yearly.
- Pricing is by profile and user count, which favours teams with many profiles and few logins.
- 13 networks supported, including Bluesky, Threads and Reddit.
- Ratings are strong on the software marketplaces: 4.8 on G2, 4.9 on Capterra. Trustpilot's rating is withdrawn for a guidelines breach.
- X publishing, wider listening and employee advocacy are priced separately.
- The 14-day trial needs no card, which is the sensible way to pick a tier.
Is Vista Social free?
No. As of October 2026 the pricing page lists no permanently free plan. Every paid tier includes a 14-day free trial that does not ask for a credit card, and two features have free allowances: social listening for your own connected profiles, and employee advocacy for three advocates.
How much does Vista Social cost per month?
Professional is $99 a month, Advanced $199 and Scale $449 on monthly billing. Paying yearly costs $950, $1,910 and $4,310 respectively, a 20% reduction billed up front. Enterprise is quote-based.
How many social accounts can you connect?
Fifteen profiles on Professional, 30 on Advanced, 70 on Scale and unlimited on Enterprise. User seats are separate and tighter: two, three, four and eight or more in the same order.
Does Vista Social post to Bluesky and Threads?
Yes. Both are on the supported network list, alongside Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit, Google Business, Snapchat and Tumblr. X publishing requires the $29 a month add-on.
Is Vista Social cheaper than Hootsuite?
For teams it usually is, because the two charge differently. Hootsuite's published rate is $99 a month per user on Standard with 10 accounts, so three users is roughly $297, against $199 for Vista Social's Advanced plan covering 30 profiles and three users. For a single user on few accounts the gap narrows.
Does Vista Social offer a nonprofit discount?
Yes. The nonprofits page states up to 50% off the Professional and Advanced plans for registered nonprofits, applied to future payments once 501(c)(3) documentation or a local equivalent is approved. Scale and Enterprise are excluded.
Bottom line
On compiled evidence Vista Social earns its ratings: wide network coverage, a shared inbox that hands-on testers rate highly, and agency reporting included in the plan rather than sold on top. Confidence in that read is high on pricing and features, which came from the vendor's own pages, and moderate on day-to-day feel, since we have not run it ourselves.
Price the tier against your real profile count, add the X and listening add-ons if you need them, and use the 14-day trial to check the mobile app and reports before you pay for a year.
