The short answer Good fit for long-battery AMOLED

Buying direct from the Suunto Asia-Pacific store makes most sense if you want a long-battery AMOLED sports watch and a warranty held by Suunto itself. Named tests rate the displays and battery life highly and the GPS as solid rather than class-leading. Check your country's free-shipping threshold before you order.

How we made this estimate

We compiled this from nine named sources on 7 October 2026 and did not test the watches ourselves. Five are expert hands-on tests (the5krunner, OutdoorGearLab, Tom's Guide, Trusted Reviews and Wareable for the watches; DIVE Magazine and DIVEIN for the dive computer). One is Suunto's public verified-buyer rating profile on Trustpilot. The rest are Suunto's own Asia-Pacific store pages, which is where every price, shipping threshold and returns figure below comes from, read directly rather than taken from a listing site.

What the Suunto APAC store actually is

Suunto is a Finnish instrument maker founded in 1936 by the surveyor Tuomas Vohlonen, and it started with liquid-filled field compasses. It built dive computers from 1987 and sports watches from the 1990s, and its headquarters has sat in Vantaa, Finland, since 2001. Amer Sports owned the brand from 1999 until Dongguan Liesheng Electronic Technology completed its purchase in May 2022, with Suunto's operations staying in Vantaa.

The Asia-Pacific store at apac.suunto.com is Suunto's own regional shop rather than a reseller. It runs on Shopify and serves 11 markets: Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, each with its own currency and shipping rules.

The catalogue is wider than the watch range people search for. Alongside the Run, Race, Vertical and Ocean watch families it carries dive computers and the Tank POD transmitter, bone-conduction headphones (Wing, Wing 2, Sonic, Aqua and Spark), the classic A-30, MC-2, KB-14 and Tandem compasses, clinometers, and straps, cables and heart-rate belts. Software sits alongside the hardware: the Suunto app, SuuntoPlus guides and sport apps, and the ZoneSense training-intensity feature.

What the watches list for in Singapore

We read these straight from the store's own Singapore product feed on 7 October 2026, and confirmed the currency as Singapore dollars from the store's own cart endpoint. Prices in the other ten markets are set separately.

ModelSingapore list priceWhat it is
Suunto RunS$389Entry running watch, silicone strap
Suunto Run 2 (4GB versions)S$499Smaller-storage build of the 2026 Run
Suunto Run 2S$5491.32in 2,000-nit AMOLED, offline maps
Suunto Race SS$539Smaller-cased Race for narrower wrists
Suunto Race 2S$769Polymer bezel, dual-frequency GNSS
Suunto Race 2 TitaniumS$929Titanium bezel version of the same watch
Suunto Vertical 2S$9291.5in AMOLED, bezel flashlight, offline topo maps
Suunto Vertical 2 TitaniumS$1,099Titanium build, longest-stated battery
Suunto 9 Peak Pro (outlet)S$429Previous-generation flagship, outlet stock
Suunto Core (outlet)S$339Altimeter and barometer outdoor watch

Two things are worth knowing about how this store handles price. First, there are no crossed-out prices anywhere in the catalogue: every item in the feed carries a compare-at figure identical to its selling price, so a watch is either at list or it is in the outlet. Second, the discounting therefore happens in two places only, the outlet collection and the special-offer collection, which held nine items on the day we looked, including the 9 Peak Pro in two finishes, the Vertical Titanium Solar, the Wing and the Sonic.

Certified Refurbished stock is the third route to a lower price. Suunto's own refurbished FAQ states that those watches carry the same 30-day return window and the same full two-year warranty as new stock, with a return label in the box. The trade-off it names is that a refurbished order cannot be cancelled or changed once placed.

The one standing discount on new stock is the newsletter sign-up offer, which the store's own sticky banner states as 5% off. Several listing sites describe the same offer as 10%; the store's own wording is the figure to trust.

Where the expert tests agree

Across the models, the named tests land on the same two conclusions: the screens and the battery are the reason to pick Suunto, and the software polish is where rivals are ahead.

OutdoorGearLabVertical 2, continuous GPS testMeasured 66 hours and outlasted every other bright-AMOLED watch in the group

Trusted ReviewsRun 2Rates the 1.32in 2,000-nit AMOLED highly; finds activity and sleep tracking less developed than rivals and the user experience less polished than Garmin or Coros
WareableRace 2Describes it as an impressive evolution of the original
DIVE MagazineSuunto OceanThe 1.43in 466×466 AMOLED is the highest-resolution screen on any current dive computer

Trustpilot861 verified-buyer ratings of suunto.comAverages 1.7 out of 5; support response times and warranty turnaround are the recurring themes

The battery numbers hold up under independent measurement, which is unusual. Suunto states up to 65 hours of multi-band GNSS and 20 days of smartwatch use on the Vertical 2, and OutdoorGearLab's own continuous-GPS run produced 66 hours. On the Race 2 the stated figures are 55 hours in dual-frequency mode, 65 hours in single-band all-systems and 200 hours in power saving, with up to 18 days of smartwatch use.

Where the tests pull in different directions

GPS accuracy is the one point the named sources genuinely split on, and the split is worth understanding before you choose a model.

the5krunner's repeated 10-mile route gave the Race 2 an 81% accuracy score, lower than the 87% the original Race managed on the same test, and noted the result was flat across easy and hard terrain, which points at firmware filtering rather than the Sony chipset. Tom's Guide, running the Run 2 for two weeks, found its distance and pace figures matched a Garmin Fenix 9 Pro and a Coros Pace 4 closely.

Both readings can be true: they are different watches, different routes and different methods. The practical upshot is that if you measure yourself against last season's data to the metre, compare the specific model you want on a source that tests the same way each time. If you train to heart rate, pace and route, every source here treats Suunto's positioning as good enough.

The second split is softer. Trusted Reviews and Tom's Guide both like the Run 2 as hardware while rating its daily activity and sleep tracking behind Garmin's and Coros's, and Trusted Reviews flags that the Run 2's price rise over the first Run narrows its appeal against Suunto's own Race line. That reading matches the Singapore pricing above, where a Run 2 at S$549 sits close to a Race S at S$539.

What the Value Pack adds to a watch

The part of this store least covered elsewhere is the Suunto Value Pack, which unlocks once you buy a watch and connect it to the Suunto app. It is a bundle of 17 partner offers rather than a store discount, and we logged each one from the page itself.

The training software is the substantial half. TrainingPeaks contributes a 30-day premium trial plus four structured plans for running, trail marathon and both triathlon distances, with a stated pack value of US$290. PerfectPace gives 75% off an AI training plan the page values at 59.85 euro. LAND Premium route-planning software runs 89 euro and comes in at 45 euro with a Suunto watch, after a 30-day Land Basic trial. AI Endurance takes 20% off a yearly subscription, and Humango adds three free months of AI coaching that pushes live workout adjustments to the watch through SuuntoPlus guides.

The route and social half covers Strava Premium All Access for 60 days, Wikiloc Premium for 60 days, komoot Premium for a month, Relive Plus for three months, UA MapMyRun MVP for three months, SportTracks for 90 days and RunMotion Coach Premium for two months.

The hardware offers are the ones to read carefully, because they discount other companies' sensors rather than Suunto's: 30% off an Absolutsweat starter pack normally 229 euro, 15% off a CORE body-temperature sensor, 10% off a Moxy muscle-oxygen sensor or its three-sensor bundle, 10% off ENGO heads-up eyewear, and 50 euro off a Sportihome booking. Each runs on the partner's own terms, so availability moves by country and most are limited to new customers of that partner.

Separately, Suunto runs an application-based Pro Club for ambassadors, qualified outdoor, sport and dive professionals, industry staff and business partners. It has four entry tiers, sets the discount level per application, lasts a year, and caps purchases at roughly the US$800 equivalent. Approval is confirmed by email and is not guaranteed.

Shipping and returns, market by market

Suunto ships Asia-Pacific orders by DHL on weekdays, quoting 3 to 8 days depending on the area. The free-shipping threshold and the return charge are set per country, and the gap between the best and worst market is large enough to change which basket makes sense. These are from the store's shipping and tracking page, read on 7 October 2026.

MarketFree shipping overFlat rate below itReturn shipping
AustraliaA$100A$6.99Free

Thailand6,000 baht400 baht400 baht
Philippines10,000 pesos550 pesos550 pesos
IndiaRs 16,000Rs 800Rs 800

Australia is the easiest market to clear, at A$100, which a strap or a cable can reach on its own. India at Rs 16,000 is the hardest, and sits above the local price of the cheaper watches, so an India order often carries the Rs 800 flat rate. Australia and Japan are the only two markets where sending something back costs nothing.

Returns run 30 days. The badges on every product page state a money-back guarantee, a 30-day return and warranty repair, and the returns policy asks for the product unused and in its original undamaged packaging for a full refund. South Korea and Vietnam are served by the store but are not listed in the shipping table, so confirm the rate at checkout for those two.

If you are in Singapore, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines or New Zealand, decide on the strap, charging cable or heart-rate belt before you check out rather than after. A second order pays the flat rate again, and a return on the first one costs the same amount a third time.

What to know before you buy

What works well

  • Battery figures that survive independent testing: OutdoorGearLab measured 66 hours of continuous GPS on the Vertical 2, against a stated 65.
  • Bright 2,000-nit AMOLED screens across the current range, which several expert tests single out as easier to read on a topo map than older memory-in-pixel panels.
  • Offline topo maps and route navigation on the Run 2, Race 2 and Vertical 2, not only the flagship.
  • The Ocean is one of only two smartwatch-shaped dive computers with air integration, per DIVEIN, with Buhlmann ZHL-16C, adjustable gradient factors and five gases.
  • A first-party warranty: buying from Suunto's own regional store keeps the claim with Suunto rather than with a marketplace seller.
  • Certified Refurbished stock carries the same full two-year warranty and 30-day return as new, per Suunto's own refurbished FAQ.

What to know before you buy

  • Suunto's public rating profile on Trustpilot averages 1.7 out of 5 across 861 ratings, with support response times and warranty turnaround the themes customers raise most. Plan a warranty claim around the official repair-centre route and keep your order confirmation.
  • Verified buyers and expert tests both put daily activity and sleep tracking behind Garmin and Coros, so judge these watches on training and navigation rather than on all-day wellness scoring.
  • GPS accuracy reads as solid rather than best-in-class: check the specific model on a source that repeats the same route, as the5krunner does.
  • There are no crossed-out prices in this catalogue, so compare against the outlet and special-offer collections instead of waiting for a sitewide markdown.
  • Return shipping is chargeable in every market except Australia and Japan, and it costs the same as outbound shipping.
  • The 15% special-communities discount Suunto runs for students and military members applies to its United States store; the page redirects to the homepage on the Asia-Pacific store, so do not plan an APAC order around it.

Who the APAC store suits

It fits a trail runner, ultra runner or hiker who wants an AMOLED screen and a weekend of GPS without a battery pack, and who would rather hold a Suunto warranty than a reseller's. The Vertical 2 at S$929, or S$1,099 in titanium, is the clearest expression of that.

It also fits a recreational diver who wants one device for the water and the wrist. The Ocean plus a Tank POD is a smaller investment than a separate dive computer and watch, and the named dive press rates the screen and the algorithm highly.

A buyer mainly after step counts, sleep scores and phone notifications is better served elsewhere, and so is anyone who needs a watch today rather than in 3 to 8 days. Someone upgrading from a recent Suunto Run should compare the Run 2 at S$549 against the Race S at S$539 before deciding, since the two sit within S$10 of each other in Singapore.

Alternatives worth comparing

Garmin is the default comparison, and the Fenix line is the one the expert tests put head to head with the Vertical 2. Prefer it if the daily health metrics, the app ecosystem and the depth of third-party integrations matter as much as the training data.

Coros competes directly on the thing Suunto is best at, battery life per dollar, and the Pace 4 is the watch Tom's Guide used as its accuracy yardstick. Prefer it if you want the lowest price for a credible multi-band running watch.

Polar is the pick if recovery and load guidance drive your training more than mapping does. Suunto keeps the advantage on offline topo maps and on battery life at the top of the range.

Is apac.suunto.com the official Suunto store?

Yes. It is Suunto's own Asia-Pacific shop, run on Shopify and serving 11 markets including Australia, Japan, Singapore, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea and Vietnam. Suunto Oy has been owned by Dongguan Liesheng Electronic Technology since May 2022 and still operates from Vantaa, Finland.

How long does Suunto APAC delivery take?

Suunto quotes 3 to 8 days depending on the area, shipped by DHL. Dispatch runs Monday to Friday and pauses on major holidays, so an order placed on a Friday effectively starts the clock the following week.

Does Suunto APAC offer free shipping?

Yes, above a threshold that changes by country: A$100 in Australia, Y20,000 in Japan, S$250 in Singapore, NZ$300 in New Zealand, RM1,000 in Malaysia, NT$5,000 in Taiwan, 6,000 baht in Thailand, 10,000 pesos in the Philippines and Rs 16,000 in India. Below the threshold a flat rate applies, from A$6.99 to Rs 800.

Can I return a Suunto watch bought from the APAC store?

Within 30 days, if the product is unused and in its original undamaged packaging, Suunto's returns policy gives a full refund. Return shipping is free in Australia and Japan and charged at the same rate as outbound shipping in the other markets.

Is Suunto outlet and refurbished stock covered by warranty?

Certified Refurbished watches carry the full two-year warranty and the same 30-day return window as new stock, and ship with a return label, according to Suunto's own refurbished FAQ. Those orders cannot be cancelled or modified once placed.

Which Suunto watch has the longest battery life?

The Vertical 2. Suunto states up to 65 hours of all-systems multi-band GNSS, up to 75 hours single-band, up to 250 hours in the most aggressive power-saving mode and up to 20 days of smartwatch use. OutdoorGearLab measured 66 hours of continuous GPS on its own test unit, the longest of the bright-AMOLED watches in that group.

Does Suunto have a student discount in Asia-Pacific?

Not on this store. The special-communities page that gives students and military members 15% applies to Suunto's United States site; on the Asia-Pacific store that page redirects to the homepage. The standing discount here is the 5% newsletter sign-up offer the store's own banner advertises.

Bottom line

On compiled evidence, the Suunto Asia-Pacific store is a sound place to buy a sports watch whose selling points are screen brightness, offline maps and battery life that independent testing confirms rather than contradicts. Our 7.5 is a medium-to-high confidence estimate: the hardware findings come from five named hands-on tests that broadly agree, and the prices, shipping thresholds and returns terms come from Suunto's own pages, which we read directly.

The honest caveats are narrow. Daily wellness tracking is not the strength here, GPS is good rather than leading, and a warranty claim deserves your order paperwork and a little patience. If you are buying for training and navigation in one of the 11 APAC markets, clear your country's free-shipping threshold in a single order and check the outlet collection before you pay list.
