How we made this estimate

Compiled from 12 sources checked between 10 and 21 October 2026. We read GOLF Partner's own about, authenticity, condition-guide, shipping, refund, FAQ and rewards pages; swept 1,039 clearance listings and 750 sampled variants across its brand and category collections on 10 October 2026; and checked independent evidence from its eBay storefront, owner threads on GolfWRX, MyGolfSpy's reporting on its NEXGEN brand and the ScamAdviser trust profile.

We swept the catalogue. We did not play the clubs. Every experiential claim below is attributed to the buyers or the merchant who made it.

What GOLF Partner actually is

GOLF Partner Co., Ltd. has sold secondhand golf equipment in Japan since 1999 and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the sporting-goods group Xebio since 2009. Its own company page counts more than 430 physical stores, around 550,000 products across stores and warehouses, and Guinness World Records certification for both the largest number of golf stores and the largest number of used clubs sold in a single year.

MyGolfSpy's reporting on the company puts its share of Japan's secondhand equipment market near 60%, with roughly 70% of its sales coming from used gear. The US online store opened in November 2019.

That store is a Shopify storefront dispatching from the company's warehouse in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, with some orders shipped from US inventory. The business holds a Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission secondhand dealer licence (No. 301089905447) and lists its head office in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

What the scale buys a reader is catalogue rather than convenience. HONMA is the largest brand collection on the site at 762 products, and XXIO, Yamaha, PRGR, ONOFF, Mizuno and Bridgestone each have their own section. The store also sells club heads on their own, custom-shaft builds using Fujikura, Mitsubishi Chemical, Graphite Design and Mamiya shafts, and its own NEXGEN brand.

What you are really paying

Our catalogue sweep on 10 October 2026 found the discounting broad rather than decorative. The clearance collection held 1,039 products, and every one of the 750 variants we sampled carried a compare-at markdown. The deepest single reduction we recorded was an open-box Yamaha RMX VD driver at $193.59 from $483.99.

The pattern repeats across categories, and the table below is what we counted on the day.

Current-season gear is included, which is less usual in used-club retail. Nineteen of the 42 clubs in the 2026 newest-model collection were already reduced, the deepest an open-box Callaway Quantum Max driver at $464.79 from $580.99. The collection covers the TaylorMade Qi4D, Ping G440K, Callaway Quantum and XXIO14 families.

Scotty Cameron putters rarely move on price anywhere. Here, 36 of the 39 variants were marked down, including a MONOBLOK 6.5 at $556.49 from $794.99.

Three mechanics then move the number at checkout. Shipping is free above $300 and $24.99 below it to the contiguous US. Buying three or more clubs takes 10% off the whole cart, although that offer excludes club sets and cannot be combined with a discount code.

The store also runs live sitewide codes, and they stack on top of already-reduced sale prices. We confirmed one against the cart on 10 October 2026: a Mizuno JPX 850 Forged set already at its $296.99 sale price came down to $237.60.

The rewards scheme is worth two minutes before a big order. Points accrue at one per dollar, an account starts with 150 free points, and the ladder runs 250 points for $5 off up to 1,000 points for $50 off, which is the capped maximum. Points expire a year after your last purchase or review.

Watch the $300 line. Free shipping is calculated on the total after discounts. If a code pulls your subtotal under $300, the free-shipping threshold stops applying and $24.99 goes back on, so compare the final total rather than the cart subtotal.

Is a grade B club good?

This is the question that decides whether the prices are a bargain or a guess. GOLF Partner grades heads on a seven-step scale: N for brand new, A for like new, B for very good, C for good, D for average and F for fair, plus Open Box for unused stock whose wrap has been removed. Shafts carry their own N-to-C grades, and grips are rated No Marks, Excellent or Fair.

The definitions in the published condition guide are unusually concrete. Grade B means “normal ball marks, none very deep, large, or noticeable when addressing the ball”. Grade D means “many deep, noticeable scratches, including ones that could catch your nail”.

Owners on GolfWRX describe the grading as conservative. One buyer reported that the “‘B' rated club was essentially brand new and the ‘C' rated clubs were not far behind”, and another said the company “very generously lower their rating compared to the actual condition”. We have not inspected individual listings, so treat that as the direction of owner reports rather than a guarantee for the club you pick.

Authentication is documented rather than asserted. The company's authenticity page says every unit is checked twice by at least two inspectors, through a nine-step process that includes tapping the head to listen for irregularities, shaking it for internal deterioration, twisting the head and grip to test joint firmness, feeling the shaft for cracks or rust, and aligning iron sets to confirm consistency.

It also publishes counterfeit-identification guides brand by brand, covering Scotty Cameron, Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, Callaway, XXIO, Mizuno and L.A.B Golf. Teaching buyers how to inspect a club is an unusual thing for a reseller to do, and it is a reasonable signal about how the stock is handled.

Shipping, duties and delivery times

Since July 2023 the store ships to the United States and Canada only, and not to PO boxes or APO addresses. Orders leave the warehouse within three business days, and the shipping policy quotes three to seven days in transit on FedEx International Connect Plus; the FAQ narrows that to three to five.

Owner reports suggest the faster end is common. One GolfWRX buyer described a driver arriving in Arizona three days after ordering, and another ordered on a Friday and had it in Michigan by Tuesday. Buyers repeatedly single out the packaging, describing heavy-duty boxes with each club individually protected.

Rates below the free-shipping threshold are $24.99 to the contiguous US, $34.99 to Hawaii, Alaska and Canada, and $64.99 to Guam, which has no free-shipping option at any order value.

Duties are the detail worth reading twice. When the United States ended its $800 de minimis exemption, every imported order became dutiable regardless of value. GOLF Partner's shipping policy states that duties on orders placed from 28 August 2025 onward are covered by the company; state sales tax still applies where law requires it.

What to know before you buy

What works well

  • Japanese-domestic-market depth that US used-club retailers do not match: 762 HONMA products, 353 XXIO variants, 427 putters.
  • Published, specific condition definitions, and multiple GolfWRX owners report the grades read conservatively.
  • A documented nine-step, two-inspector authentication process plus brand-by-brand counterfeit guides.
  • Import duties covered by the company on orders placed from 28 August 2025 onward.
  • 99.9% positive feedback across 3,402 ratings on its eBay storefront, with around 60,000 items sold since 2019.
  • Discounting that reaches current-season models, not only older stock.
  • A rewards ladder that converts 1,000 points into $50 off, starting with 150 points at signup.

What to know before you buy

  • Returns run to 30 days from purchase and carry a $10 restocking fee per product, with return postage deducted from the refund.
  • Sale items are listed as final. Much of the catalogue is marked down, so confirm whether the club you want is returnable before you order.
  • A club you modify after delivery, such as a regrip, a shaft swap or a loft and lie change, falls outside the return policy.
  • Most stock is single-unit used or open-box inventory, so a club you are still thinking about may not be there the next day.
  • Support runs through a contact form and email ([email protected]); no phone line or service hours are published.
  • No manufacturer-style warranty is published, which is the clearest difference from the big US used-club retailers.

What owners and marketplaces report

The named sources agree more than they diverge, and the table shows the spread.

Where reports differ, it is on cost drift rather than service. Some long-standing buyers note that prices and shipping charges have risen over the years, and the absence of free returns comes up more than any other point. Nobody in the sources we read disputed that the clubs arrive genuine and well packed.

Who should shop here

The fit is strongest for players who want Japanese-market equipment. HONMA BERES, XXIO, PRGR, ONOFF and Yamaha models are the core of the catalogue, and finding them in the US usually means an importer and a markup.

It also suits club tinkerers. Heads sell separately from $46.89, and 77 of the 83 custom-shaft builds we sampled were marked down, covering Fujikura, Mitsubishi Chemical, Graphite Design and Mamiya.

An alternative may fit better if a warranty matters more than selection, if you want to see a photograph of the exact club before buying, or if you live outside the United States and Canada.

Where else to look

Callaway Pre-Owned is the choice when the backstop matters most. It is an official Callaway operation and its clubs carry a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects, which GOLF Partner does not publish an equivalent of. The trade-off is a catalogue built around one brand.

GlobalGolf suits a buyer who wants granularity and a warranty together, grading on a nine-point scale from New down to Value with a 12-month limited warranty. It typically uses stock photography rather than images of your specific club.

2nd Swing is the better pick if you want to see the exact club you are buying; it photographs individual inventory and covers used clubs for 90 days. It sits at the premium end of the used market and carries recent US-market models rather than JDM gear.

The short version

  • GOLF Partner is Japan's largest secondhand golf retailer, Xebio-owned since 2009, selling into the US and Canada since November 2019.
  • Discounting is real and broad: 1,039 clearance products, with markdowns reaching 60% off and current-season models included.
  • Condition grades are published in specific language and owners describe them as conservative.
  • Import duties are covered by the company on orders placed from 28 August 2025 onward; free shipping starts at $300.
  • Plan the return before you order: 30 days, a $10 restocking fee per product, your postage, and sale items are final.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns GOLF Partner USA?

GOLF Partner USA is the American online store of GOLF Partner Co., Ltd., a Japanese retailer founded in 1999 and a wholly owned subsidiary of the sporting-goods group Xebio Co., Ltd. since 2009. The parent business runs more than 430 stores and holds a Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission secondhand dealer licence (No. 301089905447). The US store launched in November 2019.

Does GOLF Partner USA sell authentic clubs?

The company states that it carries only genuine goods and that every unit is inspected twice by at least two trained inspectors, using a nine-step check that covers head sound, internal movement, joint firmness, shaft condition and iron-set consistency. It also publishes counterfeit-identification guides for Scotty Cameron, Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, Callaway, XXIO, Mizuno and L.A.B Golf. Its eBay storefront carries 99.9% positive feedback across 3,402 ratings.

How long does GOLF Partner USA take to deliver?

Orders ship within three business days from the warehouse in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, with some stock dispatched from US inventory. The shipping policy quotes three to seven days in transit on FedEx International Connect Plus, and the FAQ narrows that to three to five. Owners on GolfWRX report deliveries landing in three to four days.

Do I have to pay customs duty on a GOLF Partner order?

No. Since the United States removed its $800 de minimis exemption, every imported order is dutiable, but GOLF Partner's shipping policy states that duties on orders placed from 28 August 2025 onward are covered by the company. State sales tax is still charged where law requires it.

What does condition grade B mean at GOLF Partner?

Grade B is “very good” on the seven-step head scale and is defined as having “normal ball marks, none very deep, large, or noticeable when addressing the ball”, with light streaks and retained shine. The scale runs N (brand new), A (like new), B, C (good), D (average) and F (fair), plus Open Box for unused clubs whose wrap has been removed. Shafts and grips carry their own separate grades.

Can you return a club to GOLF Partner USA?

Yes, within limits. Returns must be raised within 30 days of purchase and posted back within a week of receiving the label, in original packaging and unused condition. A $10 restocking fee per product is deducted from the refund along with return postage, and sale items and any club modified after delivery are not refundable. Full terms are on the refund policy page.

Does GOLF Partner USA ship to the UK or Europe?

No. As of July 2023 the US store ships only to the United States and Canada, and it cannot deliver to PO boxes or APO addresses. Shipping is free above $300, with flat rates of $24.99 to the contiguous US and $34.99 to Hawaii, Alaska and Canada below that threshold.

Bottom line

GOLF Partner earns 8.6 out of 10 in our compiled estimate, and the confidence behind that is high on the facts and moderate on the experience. The policies, prices and grading language are all published and checkable, and the independent feedback we found pointed one way across eBay, owner forums and trust aggregators.

It is the right store if you want HONMA, XXIO, Yamaha or PRGR gear at used prices, or a tour-brand head to build on, and you are shopping in the US or Canada. If you need a warranty and free returns more than you need the selection, Callaway Pre-Owned or GlobalGolf is the easier purchase.
